Louisville Home Sales Charts through May 2015

Map of Louisville MLS AreasWelcome to our Louisville Home Sales Charts through May 2015. Home sales were relatively on par with the previous year, all except for Area 8 which decided to spurt higher.

Home values are also improving, as expected, while we move into the Summer. The biggest gain coming in North Oldham which saw the median home sale price for April spike to $400,000.

Big jump in home prices for Area 2, up for the 3rd straight month to a median sales price of $192,000. Home sales in this area didn’t match last year but came close.

A better month than last has sales moved higher in this St. Matthews MLS area. Home sale prices finally jumped the 1-year trend. About time.

Very strong month for Okolona real estate as both metrics improved–home prices dramatically. Home sales beat the previous year for the second straight month.

Jeffersontown had a great month in May. Home sales destroyed last year’s mark for the third straight month. This while prices keep their upward climb.

Like Area 7, the Middletown district had wonderful performances in both our Louisville home sales chart and home prices as well.

Home prices in Area 9 have been all over the board, one month up the next falling down. It’s enough to make you dizzy! May was a great month for home prices as the median sale price was $235,000. Home sales improved over both the previous year and previous month.

Home sales were strong in North Oldham but prices came back to earth. Expect the reverse next month as price should climb.

South Oldham just fell short of last month’s performance. Sales were even but prices dropped. For most MLS areas home values should increase through the Summer.
