Each month this year, we’ve seen increased home sales here in Louisville. Now, October didn’t destroy the previous year like September did, but 846 homes sold for the month is quite good. Compared to 793 for October 2012, that’s a 6.7% improvement.
Remember, this data comes directly from the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors (GLAR) and includes all kinds of homes for every area covered in the area.

For the monthly rundown, here are the number of homes sold for each year during the month of October:
- 2006: 882
- 2007: 814
- 2008: 693
- 2009: 893
- 2010: 551
- 2011: 638
- 2012: 793
- 2013: 846
We’re near the top of this 8 year dataset, which is pretty good, but things are expected to slow quite a bit as we head into the Holidays.
