Wow! Another solid month for Jefferson County, as 726 homes were sold during November, 2012. Compare that to the 578 sold last year for a 25.6% improvement. Like I said, solid.
This puts the yearly total for Louisville real estate at 8,318 homes sold. Here are the number of homes sold in each of the previous 5 years for the entire 12-month period:
- 2007: 10,550
- 2008: 7,991
- 2009: 8,264
- 2010: 7,957
- 2011: 7,612
So as you can see, other than 2007, which is out of reach with just one month to go, 2012 has realized superior home sales in Louisville than each of the past four years.
With all eyes on the Federal government and their handling of the national debt, budget and economy, it will be a pivotal year in 2013 for real estate. Here’s hoping a new recession isn’t just around the corner.
