Today, I&#8217;m talking about a recently released Forbes.com list of <a title=\"Best Bang-For-The-Buck Cities\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/2009\/11\/30\/cities-affordable-cheap-lifestyle-real-estate-housing-foreclosures.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Best Bang-For-The-Buck Cities<\/a> for 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"366\" src=\"https:\/\/trepryor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/louisville_affordable_housi.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of a home in Glen Oaks neighborhood Louisville KY\" class=\"wp-image-9733\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trepryor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/louisville_affordable_housi.jpg 550w, https:\/\/trepryor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/louisville_affordable_housi-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Louisville&#8217;s low real estate taxes rank 17th in the country. | Photo: Tre Pryor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Of interest to real estate enthusiasts is the <a title=\"America&#039;s Best Bang-For-The-Buck Cities\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/2009\/11\/30\/cities-affordable-cheap-lifestyle-real-estate-housing-foreclosures_chart.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">full rankings<\/a> which shows Louisville&#8217;s strong suit to be low real estate taxes. Forbes puts us at 17th best in the country in that category. Future job forecasts look pretty good too at 21. Our current unemployment numbers, however, aren&#8217;t as promising with a ranking of 66.
