For the second year in a row, Louisville’s 21c Museum Hotel was voted the top hotel in America by Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards in the United States. Here is their highlight:
This 91-room hotel, hung with works from the owner’s private collection (including pieces by Andres Serrano and Sam Taylor-Wood), pays homage to twenty-first-century art. Further distinguishing it from Louisville’s stately hotels are its 5,000-square foot gallery and witty plastic penguins, which staff rotate around the lobby. Each room comes with the usual gadgets, plus fun extras such as poster art to take home. Proof on Main serves gorgeous cuts of bison and does a snazzy take on country ham fritters.
If you haven’t visited, please make it a point to go and see this marvel. It’s really quite impressive and unique. If you’d like to learn more, here is the official Web site for 21c Museum Hotel.
