In a news release issued this week, Louisville was added back to the NAHB/First American Improving Markets Index (IMI). There are 125 markets on the list.

The Tide Is Turning: Foreclosure Rates Drop in Louisville

CoreLogic says that the number of homes going into foreclosure in Louisville has dropped in their most recent report. CoreLogic is a company that tracks and publishes a myriad of reports, many centered around real estate, finances, and consumer goods.

Louisville Ranks High for Most Liveable US Cities, Affordable Vacations

Not too long ago, 2008 to be exact, Louisville was rated as number one in most liveable US cities. But then our fair city didn’t make even the list for 2009, 2010, or 2011. How can that be because one year later, Louisville took first place in 2012?

Flooring Trends at Louisville Home Show

It seems ironic that the Home & Garden Show was packed after last week’s severe weather, but this year’s event seemed more crowded than ever, and there seemed to be more booths as well. In addition to taking in the usual replacement windows, sunrooms, and UK/UofL handbags, I did have a chance to talk with some friends in the flooring industry about the latest trends.

At the Build, Renovate & Landscape Expo You Never Know What You’ll Find

We like to keep you up-to-date with the different home shows that come to town. It’s interesting because most of the time you’ll find 70% of the businesses involved actually belong in the show because their products or services match the show’s title. The other 30% are up for grabs!

Shermageddon Makes Kentucky Housing More Desirable

The big news in Louisville these days is the shutdown of the Sherman Minton Bridge, or what a creative mind termed Shermageddon. You see, because the politicians have feuded with East End money for literally decades about building the obviously logical East End bridge, the importance of the currently overburdened bridges has gone up. Way up!
